Exactly. If a member of my family or a coworker was diagnosed I would be expected to self quarantine for 14 days. Surely Essendon should be held to the same standard. Terrible optics otherwise.

On the plus side we’re lucky this happened before the match otherwise we’d be in the same boat as Essendon.

We don’t even know if you can pass it on during the incubation period so he could have infected multiple players and staff at Essendon. How long until those people can test positive? Surely Essendon players and staff all have to quarantine for 2 weeks now. How can they possibly play next week given that they all potentially have been exposed to a highly contagious virus. I’m in the forfeit camp.

A friend of mine said that junior footy awards 10 goals % for forfeits. I’ll take that.

We can only hope. Surely we should be given the 4 points. Why should we be penalised later in the season with shorter breaks between games. If the game is rescheduled later in the season you can bet they will fair better schedule wise than we do.

Let’s keep politics out of this.
