100% Please don't take my next comment as carte blanche to devolve into a political debate but the COVID situation in Victoria & playing virtually the whole season in Queensland hasn't helped in making Melbourne, the city, his home. If he gets to go back to Perth over the off-season and experiences the freedoms back home, coupled with his current freedoms in QLD and then has to come back to a semi-lockeddown Melbourne, it won't be to our benefit. This isn't the clubs fault just bad timing.

I don’t think he’s worth pick 7 but kind of agree with this. if you’re willing to pay big bucks then you have to be willing to give up a first rounder.

Didn’t someone mention that his contract with Hawthorn prevented him from leaving unless it was a higher position (ie: coach). Perhaps the post-COVID rules will enable a parallel move.
