I feel that this year will be a bit different in terms of crowds. Last year we had caps on crowds forcing reserved seat members out of their seats, members out of their sections and people could not move out of their assigned areas to meet up with other people. There was also the rigmarole of "purchasing" free tickets online with caps at certain times on how many you could get making it hard for larger family groups sitting together. This year if the caps are abolished and entry and allocation return to normal then some of the hesitancy will be relieved. Of course there will still remain a certain group of people who will be hesitant to return to the footy and the packed in crowds not to mention the packed public transport.

Good point. Someone I sit near at the footy was telling me that he round trips almost 5 hours (with traffic) for day games and night games (particularly during the week) are just too difficult with the kids.

The only hurdle to that occurring is the Wednesday night timeslot. Midweek/school night will invariably keep families with young kids away. They will most likely watch at home. Also there will be those that stay away from large crowds due to worries about COVID. The Wednesday night timeslot only benefits Channel 7.

I agree. Seems like we are being set up for failure here and the media will be jumping up and down about our supporter base like they bleated about our attendance against Freo in Round 1 2021. I believe we could attract 80 to 90 to a home and away game but it needs the right opponent and the right circumstances ie: top of the table like clash as well as a large, passionate opposition supporter base.

Whilst true that Dunstan should have applied more spoiling pressure it appears as if both Weid and Mitch Brown were left alone in the square. Having no idea what the drill is here it is extremely difficult to make any accusations on a tiny clip with zero context. Having said that ... Where are the key defenders? Salem seems to be minding Brown which is a mismatch and Dunstun (a mismatch for Weid - maybe that's the point) is coming in with the flight of the ball. It doesn't appear that he would have been Weideman's opponent but sure he should have applied a bit more pressure.

Nevermind. I see them. They were hidden pending approval for containing a fairly common men's name that is slang for a male body part. It is one of the few swear words that isn't automatically censored and is sent for moderation. Unfortunately the profanity filter software can't distiguish between the name and someone being offensive.
