I'd be interested to know what the turn around time for your results from the private test are if you don't mind sharing.

I didn't know that was an option. I might have considered paying for peace of mind as I've been stressed about not getting the results back. Having said that I have 3 kids so the cost would have been huge.

Had to get another test (on Christmas day of all days) to travel interstate and received the result 27 hours later. Not bad considering the time of year. My test the other day took 50 hours. Both Negative.

Slightly more than the 72 hours required. ie: 3 days before. 4 members of the family all tested at exactly the same time and all received theirs back at different intervals. The whole scenario is farcical. Asymptomatic testing is clogging an already overwhelmed system and testing 72 hours prior does not account for the 71 hours afterwards. Rapid tests on departure or arrival would be more accurate although can you imagine the lines/wait at the airport.

I know someone who was leaving today and as of this morning still hadn't received their test back. The rest of the family has theirs.

Also my American Friend, who has followed the Demon's journey over the last few years and has watched a lot of our matches including Rd 23 through to the Grand Final live (at an ungodly hour), received the Premiers Beanie & Scarf that I sent. Took 22 days from shipping (was meant to be 5-8 days) after spending a week waiting to leave Oz and then 9 days in LA waiting to ship across the US. He got his before my sister who ordered hers on Grand Final night.

Got my Captain's Diary, towels & drink bottles (that I can't remember ordering).

After 2018 (contracted until end of 2019) he was granted a further 3 years. Given he’s delivered a Premiership I’d expect something similar perhaps even an extra year if his management pushes for it.

He comes out of contract at the end of next season (end 2022).

Melbourne expects to have a new long-term deal for premiership coach Simon Goodwin locked away before its flag defence starts against Western Bulldogs in Round 1 next season. While Demons chief executive Gary Pert did not wish to go into detail about ongoing discussions with Goodwin and his management, he said a new deal was likely to be in place before the March 14 kick-off to the 2022 season.
