The beating a dead horse Goodwin stories was filling the void. Reporting on Lachie Hunter, a usual automatic inclusion in the team, being dropped for Round 1 just prior to Round 1 is not filling the void and is a legitimate story. Sure with Goodwin there was a story but it was dealt with a full season before it came out, we won a premiership anyway yet the media kept hounding away with headlines like Besieged Coach and Under Fire Coach when there was no fire anymore.

I'm willing to bet there will be people over this weekend that knowingly go to the footy with COVID just to go to the footy.

Out of curiosity does anyone personally know anyone who has had Omicron twice? Not COVID twice as in the original and Delta or Original/Delta and then Omicron but Omicron over Christmas/New Year and then Omicron again since then. I know a heap of people in my wider circle (including friends of friends etc) that have had COVID but have not heard of anyone being reinfected. Not talking about anecdotally off of Twitter etc but if anyone personally knows someone that has had Omicron twice and what their jabbed status is.

If our players had it over Christmas/New Years then any immunity is probably gone now.

It's a shame that it's a school night. It's keeping away my nephews and because they're young their parents too. That's 5 less than it would have been perhaps on a Friday night or Saturday day.
