Next time it plays up I will try that. Interesting theory. Sometimes the bad times last a while. Sometimes only a few minutes. All morning was great. Then bad for an hour. Now it is fine.

Has been lightning fast all day (even at the height of the Sylvia announcement). Last 1/2 hour has been terrible. Having said that this page opened up a lot faster now than it did 10 minutes ago.

A for me. Also spotty for me. Will be great for a few hours then slow for a few. Then great for bit and slow for a bit. The great for a few hours and so on. Doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern when compared to users online.

I don't believe we are being targeted for the demonic nature of our mascot.

It has something to do with the way Telstra fetches Demonland when you request it.Nasher may be able to explain it better than I.

Nasher doesn't believe it is a server issue. People not using Telstra infrastructure, like Optus and some others, are not experiencing the same issues.

I believe that iinet uses Telstra's copper wires.

It's definitely a Telstra issue with this site and the path it takes to go from your computer or device and then find Demonland and bring it to you.

It seems to be a Telstra thing as it has been slow for me the past two night but Nasher isn't experiencing the same issues. When Nasher went on his phone (with Telstra) it was slow for him too. We are looking at changing server locations and this could solve the intermittent Telstra issues. If others are experiencing issues (and even if you aren't) let us know which ISP or Telcom (Telstra, Optus etc) you are with and also which platform (Desktop or mobile) you are on. All data helps us in pinpointing the issue.

There was a severe reprimand and it has been made clear that if it ever happens again he will be instantly banned. It was juvenile behaviour that wasted mine and other mods time in cleaning it up. I would like to add that Demonlanders should refer to the code of conduct (http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/15-code-of-conduct-moderating-guide/) and the thread re: abuse (http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/34199-reminder-on-personal-abuse/). The mods try to clean up and reprimand or ban when warranted when they can but things obviously get missed. You too can police the boards by reporting offending posts using the Report Button.
