If you find the notifications to be annoying then you can turn them off in the notification settings at the top of the page by clicking the bell icon.

When you are typing in the reply box directly below it is a paperclip icon. Next to it is a link that says Click to Choose files. Click that and follow the prompts to select and image from your device. Alternatively if you have a link of an image from the web click the icon above that looks like a chain link next to the smiley face and then follow the prompts.

Which search engine? What search term? What URL (web address) did it give you?

I think that's now called Unread Content below the Search Bar near the top of the page.

That is still the case. The View New Posts button is the circle or star to the left of the topic title.

No. It has always worked that way. All I'm saying is that my preference would be that clicking on the thread text takes you to the last unread post.

The only place it took you to the first unread post was from the homepage. Ironically this is the one thing I can't get working since the upgrade. When ever your were in the forum topic index under Melbourne Demons or the Trading Board or the other Boards if you clicked on the topic link you went to the first post but if you clicked on the circle/star on the left then it took you to your first unread post. I am aware that this is industry standard but I never understood it. If you are logged in then it makes sense for any link you click in a forum to take you to the first new post since your last visit.

Just thinking out loud. Doesn't it make sense to click on a link and be taken to your last unread post? Why should you by default have to find your way back. I would be that most people don't even know about the circle/star on the left that takes you to the first unread post.

It was temporarily changed but I changed back. I might maker the change permanent as it makes no sense for clicking the link not to go to the first unread post. This only works if you are logged in.

I'm working on this fix from the homepage. From the topic index click on the circle or star to the left of the topic to take you to your last unread post. This has always been the case.

Just out of interest what colour would you prefer over white? Keep in mind that it's hard to read with a dark background colour so it needs to be light. I don't have a problem with the white as it doubles as a torch in the dark.

If you didn't experience a change then you were already on the right theme. There are only two themes. A red and blue one and a generic light blue and white one.

I might still play around with the colour scheme. It's a work in progress. I'm busy ironing out other things at the moment. I may play around with cream, bone, white, off white, ivory or beige.

It's very uncool to like your own posts. Are you referring to the homepage or from the topics list? If the homepage I am working on that. I have to change some code and it is alluding me at the moment. If you are referring to the topics list the to the left of the topic there is a solid circle (or star) that you can click that will take you to the first unread post.

Bottom of every page on the site. It's text that says Theme. Click on it and select Demons. If you want a generic coloured one for browsing at work then choose the Safe for Work theme.

What colours are you seeing?

You haven't adjusted the theme at the bottom of the site. I'm going to force the change on everyone and then if you want to go back to the generic look you can change it manually at the bottom of the site.

Yeah we like to take this site away from you guys every now and again so you will all appreciated us more and heap praise on us.

As you may well be aware we have just made a major upgrade to the forum software which was necessary. If you are reading this post but cannot login it may be because as part of the update you now need to use you Display Name (ie: the name other posters see when you post) as your Username. Your password should remain the same. For example if you originally signed up to Demonland as YzeIsALegend82 but have since changed your Display Name a number of times and are now HoganKnowsBest82 then your new Username will be HoganKnowsBest82. Obviously with such a big update things will look different than you are used to and things might be in different places. People dislike change but trust me this was necessary and you will get used to it in time. In the long run you will like all the new features so have a play around with the settings in particular the notification settings which can be customized. For example you can have it notify you if with a pop up if people reply to your post while you are online. Settings like this can be switched on and off as per your preference. I will also be playing around with the look and feel of the site over the next few days as the upgrade put everything back to default (which I knew would happen). The homepage will also be back soon. I just need to work out what all the shiny new buttons do. Also any new bugs will be ironed out too so please be patient.

Can you not see red and blue at the top of the page?

Yes. I will be changing the look and feel of the site over the next few days. Once I work out all the fancy new buttons on the admin side of things. Please be patient. We will iron out any bugs and issues including the front page. A lot of the settings went back to default which I knew would happen. I just need to work it all out.

There is still some tweaking to be done on our end so please be patient.
