  1. Hopefully he can answer your question here. @Drunkn167 We'll definitely have him on again.
  2. Which Rookie do you think will see some action early in 2018? MELBOURNE Tim Smith’s debut season as a 26-year-old was cut short by injury after two games. Corey Maynard is an inside midfielder who will push hard for games. Declan Keilty, 21, is a key tall learning the craft. We spoke with Demonland poster @Drunkn167 who is Declan Keilty's brother on the Demonland Podcast. Check out who he thought would see action in 2018: https://soundcloud.com/user-967419456/podcast-0029-28-february-2018

It’s been 11 long seasons since the club played finals and more than 53 years since it won a flag. But there is hope. Christian Petracca could explode at any time, Jesse Hogan will offer more than he did last year, and the acquisition of Jake Lever from Adelaide will bolster the defence and allow Tom McDonald to roam forward. Melbourne cannot afford to lose games like it did to Fremantle last season. Range: 4-9

  9. That was my feeling too. He's a silky smooth player who just never got a good/long enough run at it without a string of injuries & the thyroid problem. I think the midfield role will suit him better than playing off the halfback.
  10. Looking forward to big things from Salem this year. He has threatened for the past few years to have his "breakout" season but obviously injuries, illness and suspensions have hampered him. Apparently came back to preseason training already in great nick. I just loved this from the linked article below. According to Champion Data, Salem attended the second-most centre bounces (21) of any Melbourne player against North Melbourne in Saturday's JLT Community Series hit-out in Tasmania, just one less than clearance specialist Clayton Oliver. Salem gathered 19 disposals at 84.2 per cent efficiency, winning five clearances and contributing two goal assists in a standout performance. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-02-27/bulkedup-dee-set-to-make-his-midfield-mark

  12. I took my Geelong supporting nephews to the AFLX tournament and they were the most excited to see Gawny amongst the crowd. I can't remember a Melbourne player in recent times that has had that affect on opposition fans.
  13. Bernie likes our versatility going into Round 1.

  15. McKenna was mentioned as the forgotten man because he was not included on the list despite being injured (again). As such he is not back in full training. The track watchers might be able to give a better update on where is he at.
  16. Thanks that information. I'll test it out too tonight.
  17. 82 Years Young. Let's get him another premiership.
  18. Having looked at the video about 50 times I can't believe that this is the actual incident he was fined for. If this sets the precedent for the season then this will be ole Gil at seasons end.
  19. More marketable than Max at the moment? I think Max is instantly recognisable in addition to having an affable/lovable personality. Being one of the best ruckman in the league adds to his marketability. I think Petracca has future potential to overtake Max but has to put those runs on the board.
  20. The networks pay for broadcast and rebroadcast rights. The MFC can't do what you are suggesting as they don't own the rights to resell them to their supporters.
