Josh Carr facing 3 week ban

As the title says...... Charged with kneeing Gazza Jr

A handy player to be absent from the G on Sunday.

Haha. He is a dirty little [censored] .... although I commend him for his choice of player to knee!

sandilands is also under review thats good

Josh Carr is a dud. Id prefer he was playing.

Now some unknown 18 year old will come in and kill us.

He is the sort of spineless loser who will go out and target Cale Morton.

One less idiot to worry about.

that leaves tarrant and headland

still...the way freo played against geelong...i cant say i think we are going in with the greatest of chances

I wouldn't put Josh Carr at the top of Melbourne's list of worries. There are plenty of other players at Fremantle who will pose much more of a problem.

lets hope connoly has inside info on how they play

Yeh good point, when I said plenty I guess I meant 2, but then again Freo probably couldn't find more than 2 players on our list who would worry them

farmer and tarrant have kicked 10 goals between them this year whilst russell n green have 20

i couldnt disagree with you more

did this side only lose to geelong by a point on the weekend? maybe their is a lack of stars there but this club can do something that we cant and that is win quarters...

pavlich, sandilands, hedland, farmer, palmer, etc

i dont like our chances...i think we are underestimating the opponent

prove me wrong bailey

Freo are dead set rubbish. If we will win any game this year, it will be against this bloody soft mob. Sure they were good agains the cats, but we were not all that bad when we went to the cattery. Most Vic sides dont play WA well, and freo are a travelling circus.

I am not going to say we will win, but FFS, we are talking about Freo. I will be at the game, as i would find it very hard to see freo smashing us. Sure they are favoured to win (and rightly so, we are playing a shocking brand of footy) but Freo are no certainty against us over here. In WA a different story, over here the game is available for the taking.

over here the game is available for the taNking.

Sorry, I couldn't resist

Freo are pathetic. It sucks that we are unlikely to beat them....

On topic, I met Josh Carr at the 2006 Grand Final. He was a top bloke, and nothing like the annoying sniper we see on the field. I think he just makes the best with what he's got combined with a bit of white line fever...

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
