Whelan's kicking (from memory - he hasn't played in the last century) wasn't too crash hot either

It's a lot better than Bell's. When he was actually in the team he was the 3rd player to do kick outs behind Johstone and Wheatley.

he needs to watch Jake King play and try to copy him a bit

Are you serious. King is a one game wonder. He is a very over rated, under performed player. Terrible skills, and only get noticed because he lloks like a midget on ice.

He takes the game on and is confident in his abilities though.

Any coach is willing to cop a few mistakes so long as their players take the game head on

I think its just a confidence thing. He'll be right.

lol......nice

one of those cult figures at tigerland, which usually translates to "a [censored] player who tries hard"

I don't think he reads the ball coming in well at all.

He is ALWAYS behind, and never catches up and rarely effects a spoil.

He has people who love him and others who don't. I'm not sure defence is for him as MJP alluded to he always seems to be behind and rarely effects a spoil from what I've seen.

MJP did not 'allude', MJP explicitly stated that Bell is 'always behind', that he 'never catches up' and that he 'rarely effects a spoil'.

Say now, Cards13...

You wouldn't happen to BE MJP in another guise, would you? Or you just got a penchant for parroting dopey statements?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
