"SHOW BAG" from family day

Featured Replies

My daughter was taking the goodies out of her Demons family day show bag, and passing on the stuff she didn't want on to me. This included a plastic pack of "Evo", which appeared to be a new type of snack. I thought..."I'll take that into work and snack on it at morning tea!"

Sure enough, I took it in to work, and before trying it myself, offered some to a colleague, who recoiled in horror........"What are you giving me DOG FOOD for?????

On closer inspection of the pack, that's what it was!!!!!

Anyone else fall for it?

What a strange inclusion in a child's "show-bag"!

Thank you for that.

Even though its true (im sorry about that) you've put a big smile on my face

The packaging read "high in protein, low in carbs" or something along those lines and being health conscious I was thinking "great" unitl I read "dog food" in small print at the bottom (there was one for cats as well).

I don't think anyone here will fess up to actually eating any but I am willing to bet someone probably accidentally tried it

Good on our sponsor Pets Paradise (I imagine) for supporting the cause. Too bad I don't have dog!

Thats nothing, at Collingwood Family Day every Show bag came with a spoon, tinfoil, needle and a gram of heroin

It strikes me that very few Demonlanders were recipients of the disguised dogfood.....or at least they would have commented on what a foolish error I made!

that is because there were probably very few actual recipients of the showbags.

We were there early looking for them for both of the kids but couldn't find them at all. Dad asked a lady who had one and she said you had to go all the way around to the megastore on the otherside of the ground to get them.

If that was actually true then no wonder nobody got one. Was hardly going to walk two small kids all the way around the ground on a hot day to pick up a show bag loaded with dog food !

This was the Demons day out...not the Doggies ?? pmsl !! :P :D

Don't know why she told you that unless that is where she got hers? They were handing them out of the back of the truck/stage.

she looked like a club volunteer or official or something so that makes it even worse ! (although really not suprising given the way our administration works)
