Wow. If this is true, then we could even expect the West Coast Eagles to tumble out of the Eight next year and - even more amazingly - Carlton to re-enter it. Who would have guessed that at the start of this year? Not me, that's for sure.

I was also talking to some Carlton people today and FWIW they were adamant that Chris Judd agreed to join the Blues well before he announced he was leaving West Coast i.e. that the whole process of talking to other clubs and nominating his priorities was all a sham. The same people said Embley was a chance if they could fit him under the salary cap and they were pretty confident that this could be done (in Carlton's own inimitable way ).

this is a non-issue, because it cannot happen realistically. firstly bc its impossible to quit when ur contracted if ur club will not release you, besides which richmond arent that stupid and will just wait till all players nominate for the PSD, and will take the best available.

I stand to be corrected, but like Sylvinator I was given to believe that Embley is contracted and can't walk. He won't be released - unless Fonz bends them over - which he won't. Wishful thinking on the behalf of many Carlton supporters.
