G'day guys,

I think we have a strong chance to win come Saturday night.

Neitz, Robbo, & Davey a due a big game. With saying that, I think we can match the Bulldogs, I think we're a good fit.

GO DEES!!!

I gave up hope after the Roos game in round 16, Robbo's 200th, were I thought we were a strong chance.

Ordinarily, I'd say we're a huge chance with White playing his 250th. We had big wins when Neitz and Yze both played their 250th.

However there is a distinct lack of passion and motivation among the group circa late 2007. There is only about 2 or 3 players that will be prepared to get their hands dirty and crave a win for the big milestone.

I do have high hopes of a closer match than the previous 4 weeks, but a win is out of the question. Too many injuries.

If Brad Johnson doesn't come up I'd say the boys would be some chance if they really wanted to win. An even better chance if they play him and the soreness turns into a full-blown hammy; that'd be "end-of-season and heads down" for them. Even so, any side who can limit the output of Cross and West is always a chance agin the Bullies.

The doggies have struggled a fair bit this year considering their hype. I really do believe they are beatable, provided some spirit gets in the boys or maybe I just beat to red & blue to see the big picture. Lots of talented players in the fold. Hoping for a good contest.

Well said. I agree with you 110% fellow demon fan.

I like what you have to say. Looking forward to reading more of your posts shortly.

You just never know what our team is going to do - we can mix it with the best when we have a decent team out there.....this is one we could sneak home in.

I would be more worried if I was a Doggies supporter. We don't really have anything to loose....they are still trying to convince everyone they are worthy finals contenders - if they can't win this they are in trouble.

Would love to see the boys win it for Whitey but I would sooner see us win the following week for David Neitz - if we only have one more victory coming our way, please make it against the maggies. Imagine beating them twice in a season when we have had such a bad year - pure gold!

I know!

That's all I want for my Birthday & Christmas combined!

A win against those pricks!!!

Maybe we can win it for both Whitey and Neta!!

As everyone is saying, we need a lot more passion to win this match.

Really don't like him do you demons32?

Just think the day they changed the centre circle is the day White lost it.

He can barely mark over head these days either.

He gets alot of possies but they are kicks to a wing or marks behind play. Love Whitey, was my fav player for YEARS but upsets me how much development we loose because of him. Congrats on 250 White.

Yes. Please elaborate.

Jeff White has been a great contributer to the Melbourne FC for a decade.

Who are you to judge him? I can't see you out there!

250 games is a big effort so he has obviously done something right!

Still is one of the leaders in the AFL for hitouts - It's not his fault he has players such as Godfrey to make the clearances.

Give him a break Demons 32 or Log Out of Demonland.

Who's with me???

Please elborate.

Well we got rid of Simmonds because we were playing White to often, we tarded Jolly because he wanted out for never getting a chance to play because of White and PJ and Jamar are barely played and when the are spend far to much time on bench. I don't know if either are good enough but it just seems mfc is to quick on the play hite scenario, and weve got white, we'll be alright.

For example, we went to Adelaide against Brogan and Lade with just White, that was stupid. Should have brought PJ or Jamar. But I do like White.

You clearly don't like White.

Show some respect. White is better than those two players put together. I can't see them still playing full game time. Give Johnson & Jamar a break too!

They can play. Have you seen Jamar in Sandi???

The kid can play!!!

Think about it bwell.

No. It's not different. There still kicking an oval shaped ball around. The class perhaps lacks but it's still Football.

Jamar is still extremely young & will be a great attribute of the Melbourne FC for many years to come. You will see.

Furthermore, just be quite both of you - Jeff White deserves this time & shouldn't be bagged by his so called supporters.

I have an idea - Bag the opposition, not Melbourne players!

I didn't bag him, I started this thread!

VFL IS a very different game BECAUSE of the difference in class. AFL has a much larger and hugely different kind of intensity that takes a player many games to get used to. Think about it, you have maybe 1000 people at a VFL match compared to 11000-100000 people at an AFL match, not to mention all the people watching at home. Yes, he is still doing the same thing, kicking marking etc. but on a much bigger stage with a much larger audience. Think of it this way. Your a small time actor performing a play at your local high school, then all of a sudden the directors tells you your next show will be done in Broadway.

Back to the topic for me

The TAB rate our chances at $4 (vs Bulldogs @ $1.22)

I think (depending on team selected) it will be a very close game and we do have a good chance of pulling the win especially if there is no B.Johnson :)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
