Just reported on SEN, no details really, said that he was to undergo groin surgery.

Definitely the right move I would have thought, get him right for next year, we need our best defender back!

    I understand the surgery is news, but wasn't it already announced that Rivers wouldn't play any further part this season?

    Perhaps I just assumed he wouldn't play again.

    Anyway good luck to Jared for the surgery, and hopefully it will spell an end to the injury woes he has suffered this year.
