Just got an e-mail from Tasmania Football Club that Todd has been appointed Head of List Management and Strategy. Guessing this is a big loss given the AFLW team has been pretty good?

That would be an incredibly big loss, if true. He has done a wonderful job keeping the AFLW list competitive. That said, it is hardly surprising that other organisations would come knocking. Its just a pity that we couldn't find him a role with the AFL list management team, because I'm not a fan of Tim Lamb's work.

I posted when Ben Brown left that we have been losing a lot of quality people out of our AFLW program over the past year or so. I would like some reassurance from the club that these are being replaced with people of similar quality.

He has. Not quite at the Adelaide and Brisbane level, but still very strong.

And if he was responsible for the Pick 2 for Mithen trade... that's bordering on magic.

Todd will most certainly be missed at Melbourne FC, but he is returning to his home state of Tasmania to fulfil the role of Devils Head of List Management and Strategy. Great appointment.

Don't understand alot of the Lamb criticism, part of delivering a flag after so many years and injuries and player issues aside we have a pretty good list.

Most speculative picks or trade misses are for depth players we hope show something extra at mfc. On top of that, formidable players don't choose to switch clubs because they like the list manager. Its up to the coaches, player group and perceptions of the club to get players across the line
