West Coke Eagles vs Melbourne Demons

It looks like we need to have the "Mother of all Cleanouts" at the end of this season

This is depressing

Whatever u do dont look at the scores - on to next week we go, at least we have Richmond in July

The Tiges are at least having a go

Richo will have his one good game of the year

we really need a ruckman, whitey unfortunately is getting to old and is losing his jump. we gotta pick up Kruezer for the northern knights

And their 157 point loss is a clear demonstration of this!

Gotta love Cameron Bruce

Got his contract and ran. In it for the money, nothing else

Bit harsh there.

But here is the problem, Daniher is giving him jobs that just don't suit him, especially when the rest of the side is getting smashed.

I want to see something different, and the best Daniher can do, is put Whelan in the midfield, where he will no doubt pull a hamstring again.

There better be a serious re-shuffle of positions at half time. The lack of vision from the coaching staff never stops astounding me.

Recruiting the same type of soft players over along period - Bruce, Green, Johnstine, Yze, WHite, Wheatley etc... - and rthen making them the core of the club with large contracts has been our undoing for years, and continues to be

If it makes anyone feel better they thrashed us last year as well and we werent bottom of the ladder then

No. The game was winable up until 6 minutes left when our entire backline lost any sense of normality and common sense and all went up in a pack, allowing chick to stand put and pounce on a falling ball, kicking the winning goal. they seized control, kicked another goal and won.

Atleast we are giving it a go... oh wait..

And their 157 point loss is a clear demonstration of this!

We might run that score close today

Seriously........Who can you see us beating right at the minute?

Yep couldn't agree more

Its time for everbody to accept FACT

This group of players is simply not good enough, currently bordering on Embarrassing!!!!!!

Do you know anything about him besides the one article you read in the herald sun?

If we dont trade Bruce, Green or Johnstone at years end I will not renew my membership

I am sick of this [censored] club

All same faces, and still going nowhere

We are soft. The front office is soft. Make a tough decision, and trade one of our high paid softcocks while they have some value

And if I have to go through another season in 2008 of a team including the names Ward, Godfrey, Jamar, Brown// I will kill someone

Good ruckman, close to dominating the U18 competition, can go forward and kick goals. Quite good below his knees for a big guy and pretty mobile, at this stage he seems to be the best ruckman to come through at his age.

I agree with you Yze Magic

Its time to make some tough decisions

How the hell is BRad Miller still in the team

Where is NEwton?

Our coaching staff have NO idea!! NONE!

If we dont trade Bruce, Green or Johnstone at years end I will not renew my membership

I agree that one of those have to go.

Green won't have much value in the market, so he may as well stay.

Which leaves Bruce, who is overrated by the whole competition and will therefore attract a very good price, and TJ who we know is hot and cold and brilliant in flashes.

Someone will have to go, and we must chase one of the big names coming out of contract, with Judd being our main priority.

Yep. You're a superstar and I admire you. Thank you. Thank you. All three of them are nothing more than overpaid, weak players who care more about a pay cheque then the MFC.

Good on you YM. Well thought out quality comments as usual. Let's get rid of all our best players.

Why does our Coach keep playing his favorite players?

Where is Michael Newton?

Where is Michael Newton?

Where is Michael Newton?

Where is Michael Newton?

Where is Michael Newton?

And I'm referring to your previous posts, not the one I quoted.

You'll get more for TJ than those two put together imo. He can be as good as DaVinci in one burst, and then suddenly fall and be a kid in grade 2 art class. Even still, Bruce and Green will never achieve TJ's ability and skill and he is valued in the football community.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
