Gave nothing away in this interview.  but i enjoyed it no the less.  Think Thulstrop is a real possibility though

(waiting for....)

I am shocked that he didn't fully disclose his strategy. We are paying members after all..

I actually agree with this. At the time of drafting MJ was a year+ behind in his body development as what JVR was when he got drafted the year before. Then add in that Roo naturally loves to throw his body around, MJ needs time not only to develop his body, but grow in confidence with it too.

Give him the time he deserves. I don’t expect to see much of him until 2025. It’s not his fault the coaching group got seduced by TMAC’s 2021 season (and it was a great season too), or that BBB’s body would go kaput for the better part of 2 years (not even the coaches could’ve seen that coming so quickly).

Whats more, it’s not our KPF’s that’s the problem, it’s how we get it in to them. No need to rush MJ.

JT played down the Tholstrup visit.

Said Jeffersen played some good footy at VFL and needs another preseason.

Hopefully we see Jeffersen play a few AFL games next year.

greenwaves and DD - whilst not expecting to see much if any of Jefferson in 2024, I wonder why you seem so totally unequivocal that he won’t be seen at all?

Unless he has one of the greatest pre-seasons of all-time, his body is not ready. He needs time, not to be fed to the wolves ala Jack Watts.

I said he won't play in 2024.  He'll need a lot of time to develop

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
