I hate to say this, I really do, but I think Davey may have cost us the game today...

Davey did not cost the game as said before he kept us in the game all day along with Sylvia and johnstone very good game from Davey yesterday i was very impressed after startign off fairly poorly this season ...

i too thought Davey was BOG yesterday...

If you want to blame someone blame Neitz.

Why do we have to blame anyone at all? It's a team game and in the end, there's probably hundreds of little things we could and should have done differently that might have pushed us over the line. This fingerpointing game we seem to get in every week is just scapegoating, and it's a pointless, fruitless exercise.

It's a team game and every single player should shoulder some responsibility for the loss, not just one or two.

I agree to some extent that finger pointing is a waste of time.

However while the original authour of the thread was blaming Davey (who was our best player) I thought Neitz deserved to be the gun after smacking Harris after a goal at a crucial time...this was on top of a very ordinary game from the skipper.

silly mistakes cost the game

why wasnt lindsay gilbee (one of the best kicks in the AFL) manned up when he got the handpass from daniel cross taking a set shot, and putting it through from outside 50

our captain giving away a free kick after a goal, wight and harris got under his skin!!

there were numerous things that affected the outcome, singling out aaron davey, who got 30 touches, is the silliest thing i've heard this year

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
