COACHES VOTES: Rd 08 2023

Btw, further to the suggestion that a few of our players were unwell leading up to the game, Trac looked eerily pale when interviewed after the game🤮

In that clip about Rivers, the very last shot is him sitting down for the post match coach talk. I know he must have been exhausted etc having just finished a taxing game of footy, but he looks pale as ghost too.

That's the first of those electrifying moments clips i've seen that includes comments from a coach (i haven't watched any this season, so perhaps it's now a thing). I thought that was interesting as was mentioning rivers being crook (which i very much doubt he would have if we lost - exuses and all that) and that he almost word for word echoed Goody's post match comments about how proud they were of the players

My read is the club was subtly flagging to fans there was some illness in the camp and that we too should be very proud of the team's performance.

There were multiple times that he seemed to be fanning or patting his chest, I think towards the bench. Like he was having trouble breathing. Does he always do that?

I dunno, to me Trac always looks moments away from both his legs falling off. He has this weird gait like he's suffering some sort of permanent knee/hip/back injury.

The amount of times I see him hobble off after a game thinking he's injured, and then he plays the following week and gets 30 touches is truly remarkable.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
