I was thinking who are the best 5 playerd we have under 21, i was thinking

1-Bartram

2-Jones

3-Dunn

4-Bate

5-Pettard

Brock has already had his 21st so you can't include him..........

I would have

1. Jonesy

2. Bartram

3. Dunn

4. Pettard

5. Bate

Pettard needs more than one game for us to really see what he is made of - I am a huge fan of Nathan Jones!!!! His guts and determination should be bottled and forced fed to all of our players - then we would go places.

Agree the list might change when we see Frawley debut and we really need to see more of Pettard before making huge calls but he certainly was impressive last week - made my Sydney trip worthwhile - sort of.

All quality as well

Would be nice to have a legit key position player among them though

I still havent worked out if Dunny is a Full Forward or a running type player in the Ryan O'Keefe mould

Without all the sentiment, it is pretty clear who our top 5 is at this stage:

1- Brock McLean

2- Clint Bartram

3- Nathan Jones

4- Lynden Dunn

5- Colin Sylvia

With apologies to Bate, I think I can I think I can, SON, YOU CAN, NOW JUST DO IT!

Petterd, 1 game.... let me see some more yet.

Let us know after today Sleeve. His first was pretty good - all the things I'd expect from a 50 gamer.

Colin Sylvia is going to be 22 this year - too old for the list or I am sure we would have included him already.

1 The Rock

2 Jonesy

3 Barts

4 Petterd

5 Dunney

Bate will bounce back and all the knockers will knock less.

191 cm playa who can find his own ball. I have faith.

I didn't read it properly, apologies.

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
