Are you the one who's gonna stand up and be counted?.

Are you the one who's always ready with a helping hand?

Crikey, Clarrie picking up Tex does lead to some interesting places.

As a young fella I avoided the police and kept out of their eye.  Not hard as i was no trouble.  Recently my stepson had an absolute episode and came to the attention of the police. And the courts.  Can I just say that what was a difficult time for the family ended well.  The police were fantastic.

I have a son who, through no fault of his own (not a story for the internet), thought he had no choice but to rebel and hang out with the tough kids in his high school years. He got into drugs early, way too early and I spent many nights driving around the mining town we lived in looking for him after he went missing for the umpteenth time.

Lost count of the times I'd be driving around town, half [censored] on my days off, and every conversation with the local police was the same. "We know where he will be, go home (my name) and we make sure that he is ok"

Could have arrested my [censored] for drink driving, but let me go every single time, because they knew I was only looking out for my troubled young fella.

Most cops are awesome people. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Whilst it agree with my sense of sportsmanship and fair play I still remember Justin Madden getting traded from the Dons because he was seen smiling hours after a loss.

How the times have changed.

Gee Langers would have been trouble in those days

he smiles while getting a root canal

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
