Darcy Parish went on quite a rant yesterday - his diatribe lasted over a minute.  No respect for his captain or care for his teammates.

From the 15 sec mark of the video herein:

Such a bad attitude.  Ess is in a very bad place.

Disagree strongly.

The opposite of love (care) isn't anger, it's apathy. The bloke cares immensely.

People might view it, and the consider that he was disrespectful to Dyson. Again, optics from the outside looking in, it doesnt look great, because that's not how we would operate in a normal work environment...but this aint a normal work environment.

I recall a decade or so ago, Collingwood backline players also confronting one another...it was deemed great leadership when they were winning. A year or so later, the same behaviour was seemed to be indicative of distrust, and lack of unity.

I for one (not knowing Darcy or Dysons relationship) would hope that it is robust to be able to talk through things, whilst being [censored] off and then it get repaired.

He has a right to discuss things, he as a right to be [censored] off.

Incidentally, did you know most  incidents be it in hospitals or airlines, occur due to staff, not willing to speak up and question authority (Surgeon or Pilot)in the moment about a procedural issue ....

Anyway Luci, I understand what you are saying, it all depends on how it is repaired (as well as,  what was actually spoken about).

Did Darcy choose to not to hit Dyson up at all for the rest of the match? 🤷‍♂️

Agree he has a right to be peeved off but I come from the school of 'praise in public, criticise in private'.  He had options.

Even Steven May said he had to curb his on-field demonstrativeness to teammates.

Parish clearly cares for their preformance but for mine making a beeline for the likes of Kelly isn't showing care for a teamate's wellbeing or being a 'good teammate' to use a demon term.

Interestingly, Rutten walked up to the group for a few seconds, walked away and let Parish continue.  Not sure what to make of that...

I see Essendon are doing another review. Didn't they just do one a couple of seasons ago? Gee Josh Mahoney would be getting flashbacks from his time at Melbourne when we were bad.

Review undertaken at the end of 2020 by the same people who are doing this review.  No idea what they expect will be different.

This has 'scapegoat' vibes around it - maybe Dodoro and assistant coaches!  They are hoping to do a Thompson, Hardwick, Goodwin assistant coach change that then delivers a premiership very quickly thereafter.

But tey do reviews, fiddle around the edges and get rid of someone:  Neeld, Worsfold and now others but they don't solve the underlying problems because they refuse to acknowledge their messed up recent history and won't look past their sense of entitlement.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die!
