PECKING ORDER FOR MIDS

1. PETRACCA

2. OLIVER

3. VINEY

4. BRAYSHAW

5. HARMES

6. SPARROW

7. JONES

8. JORDON

This is our strongest part of the ground but hopefully Brayshaw can climb up the ladder a bit and show his 2018 form.

PECKING ORDER FOR WINGMAN

1. LANGDON

2. BAKER

3. HUNT

4. VANDENBERG

5. ROSMAN

6. NEITSCHKE

This is our weakness Baker and Hunt must step up.

RUCKS

1. GAWN

2. JACKSON

3. BRADTKE

4. MCDONALD

5. WEIDEMAN

6. M.BROWN

We have the best ruckman in the league so we shouldn't have too many worries but our depth is a bit of a concern wouldn't mind seeing one of our 2 rookie spots go to a ruckman.

we have our set starters in the midfield Viney, Oliver, Petracca, Brayshaw, Harmes without question when utilised properly will flourish. Jones will play till he hits 300 then its sparrow till seasons end. Harmes and Trac spend time forward Harmes in particular plays that 5th role we had melky in this season.

on the wing Langdon no questions here. Baker gets first crack at it but he needs to do more. i'm worried he wont break in till the last month like the last two years so give him a go early and if it isn't work him shelve him as he's had plenty of time and opportunities and theres others gunning. I don't want to see Hunt, certainly none of vandenberg but i would give JJ a shot for sure and if salo/riv wants to push up then be my guest. i don't wanna hear this mcdonald crap either he's been useless soft and ball shy for 2 years, don't need to be slim to be aggressive at the footy and body line it

Gawn is our ruckman, if he goes down Jacko is partnered by Weid and we play another small with fritsch as a 3rd option forward or mbrown gets a chance before tom plz. Bradtke is almost ready for a game and hopefully he does some good work at casey i think he could be a success long term, he'll get a senior list spot next year after his 3 B years for sure.

If his knee holds up, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Neita leapfrogs most on your wing list. He's missed a truckload of footy but his hard work and meticulous preparation (by all reports) should stand him in good stead. IIRC his strengths were endurance and kicking, amongst others. I know he was drafted as a half back, but I reckon he'll hammer down any door for a spot in the side with a bit of footy under the belt.

I wish him every success after two recos and there aren't too many Dees I'd rather see debut than him ATM

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
