Today was the worst.

Round 1: West Coast first goal
Round 2: Carlton first goal
Round 4: Geelong - 2 in the first 5 minutes
Round 5: Richmond - first goal
Round 6: We got the first one! Suns the next 2
Round 7: Hawks get the first 2 goals
Round 8: Lions first goal
Round 9: Port kick 3 in quick succession
Round 10: 1 goal for us, 0 for Adelaide
Round 11: Neither team score for half the quarter
Round 12: Collingwood kick 2 points from easy chances in the first 5 minutes, look the better side
Round 13: Dogs go bang bang bang

We've looked really flat after half time for most of the season.

Oliver was getting a blister dressed just before play started. Why didn't he do that in the 20 or however many minutes he had?

Something in the routine needs changing because it's completely unacceptable and should be preventable. And it's not game plan related either, it's all mental.

I like where you're going, but not sure classifying 1 goal as a 'fast start' makes it a great analysis (by your usual lofty standards).

Agree but as stats go it's interesting and we are way on the wrong side of that stat.

Seems to me we could be better on the first goal of the match stat

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
