Od If you tell inner urban but unurbane greenies like @moonshadow that it’s a “craft beer” they’ll drink any horse [censored] you put in front of them!!!

Can’t say I am a beer man, craft or non craft. More partial to a vintage wine myself but I was just thinking there are about 6 pubs inside or very close to inside 1070 m from the Warehouse, the Rose, The Marquis of Lorne, the Robert Burns and the Gasometer, the Town Hall and the Rochester. Robby Burns used to be my public house of preference when they had the Spanish kitchen going.

I ate at the RB a couple of weeks ago and was most disappointed that they have lost the Spanish food menu. Was very average, bland pub food. Will not last.

Been a while since I ate at The Rose, Napier or Union. Hope they haven't dropped the ball as well.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
