spirit of norm smith 16,679 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Luke Partington is a young midfielder with the Eagles. 6 games in 3 years. Drafted pick 28 in 2015 as a young pacy South Australian. Played a few games of senior footy with Norwood. Very good 2016 first year in WAFL averaging 22 possessions. Continued excellent form and cracked it for 6 games at the end of 2017 including finals. Looked suited to a wing/rover role. Had physically developed further. 2018 season saw Partington behind Gaff, Shuey, Yeo, Redden, Sheed, Hutchings, Masten. Now uncontracted, he can be the type of player MFC grabs. We have a gap available given Tyson departure. The need for midfield strength continues. Partington would be gettable at a pick 62 type pick with a 2/year contract. Worth the call. Quote

Mach5 4,768 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Could be a good low risk roll of the dice. Would expect him to look for a club able to provide greater opportunity however. Quote
FireInTheBennelly 4,104 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I hoped we got him in his draft year, but he hasn't come on as well as I thought. Not sure about him now. Quote
dee-tox 4,835 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Liked him in his draft year. You would have wanted him to show a bit more after three seasons. The really good kids tend to make some sort of impact in their first year. Quote
