Would just like to highlight this game to be played vs Sydney on Sunday.

All the game day details: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/Team/match-day-information

Summary:

  • Family Festival from 11.00 am
  • Field of Women - 1.00 pm, where everyone is invited to go onto the center of the MCG.
  • First Bounce -  3.20 pm

For those who haven't had a chance to go onto the MCG it is quite an experience, more so it being for a good cause.  Last time I went it was quite moving.

Special jumper will be worn by mfc players:

Its a game Jim Stynes hugely backed along with Raylene Boyle, long before he fell ill.

Its a great cause and its great that mfc is participating again.

Have been to all of them. BC has reared its ugly head in my family. The game I look out for every year.

I have also been to all of them. I have lost my mum to BC since the last Field of Women. I will be there on Sunday in her memory.

I can only reiterate what an amazing feeling it is to be in the middle of the MCG in a sea of pink.

Really impressive to be using the 'power' of the 'G in this way. Even going on after a game for a bit of silly kick-to-kick makes you feel like the proverbial whole world could be watching, so I must really be something special to actually be out there for a good reason.

From the outside, it seems like it has become almost a pilgrimage for many, to share a moment of solidariy and visibility over what I'm told can be a very isolating and lonely experience.

Respect to the club, but most of all, thoughts with everyone experiencing cancer, both medically and socially.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

It's Game Day and Clarry's 200th game and for anyone who hates Carlton as much as I do this is our Grand Final. Go Dees.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
