KC from Casey 7,213 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 It's a big night for the VFL with the player awards culminating with the Liston Trophy for the league's B & F. Casey Demon's Development League player Goy Lok has won the last A. Todd Medal as that competition is ending with Sunday's grand final between Casey and Williamstown. Bayley Fritsch is the 2017 Fothergill Round Medal winner - for best potential young talent in the VFL. Most of the past winners have been drafted and Fritsch will be no exception. Daisy Pearce, Melissa Hickey, Lily Mithen, Richelle Cranston and Karen Paxman have all been named in the VFL Womens Team of the Year.
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Fritsch is also HFF in the VFL Team of the Year.
puntkick 325 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 On Saturday I was very impressed with Spencil's haircut 'n beard trim and Kingy and Keilty 's endeavour ! If this is the best Casey can contribute toward the onward and upward of the MFC then gawd help us ! As a paid up and passionate Frankston Dolphins member in 2017 I take solace in the fact we were undefeated this year !
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Congratulations to Jacob Townsend on winning the Liston - hasn't he kicked on at the end of the year?
whatwhat say what 23,888 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 i think i read earlier that townsend is the third riverina player to win the liston in recent times? it would seem no other casey players made the team of the year? it would be interesting to see what a vfl team of the year looked like it with all afl-listed players available to be a part of it
spirit of norm smith 16,681 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Jack Hutchins very unlucky. He beats his opponent consistently. Selfish player. Good captain.
