Although this does not represent original research by Four Corners, this program canvasses astonishing (maybe) content and makes fascinating background to upcoming matters which will no doubt engage many of us as legal processes evolve.

It should be remembered that it is a time-honoured principle that on occasions it is better that one man die for the people and it seems  that the contemporary representation of that principle has become that it is sometimes better that victims' rights be subjugated for the greater good of the perpetuation of the benign public reputation of a revered Institution.

The program shines a light on the vile deeds of child rapists and the shielding of those perpetrators from the consequences of their actions to an almost comical degree were the matters not so serious and the in many cases lifelong ramifications and damage not so profound.

The obstructors and enablers must in every case and wherever possible  be dragged into the light so that their evil and dark deeds are in plain view.

It occurs to me that there may possibly be significant cultural similarities between Philadelphia and Melbourne, having grown up in the system here in Victoria.

I didn't see the program you are referencing and agree child rapist and enablers should be held to account. My definition to being held to account in these circumstances is probable more severe than most.

However, in my experience of watching four corners it is a stitch up program that only shows one side of the story. They have a history of dishonest form.

How did I know you'd write something like that?

Because it was sensible and balanced.

Your dreams must be interesting.

On media watch tonight the ABC admitted that they misrepresented the statistics..

Will the witch hunt continue? Of course.

I am agnostic and know George Pell. Not well but within circles of friends. I doubt very much knowing what I know that he is anything but a warrior of Christianity trying to be torn down.

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
