Will keep an eye out Gorg

Got a couple/few that you like in the Stradbroke?

I've had a small wager using bonus bets on Apache Chase (carrying 49.5kgs) but Vega One & Wild Planet aren't carrying much weight either

Exotics could pay really well and I might box a Trifecta in the race

Just saw this. Sorry for the late reply.

So much class in the Stradbroke. Hard to go past Vega One.
The Havrovian is another that looks a chance.

Converge won very well. Good choice.

Loaded up with bonus bets on Converge so a happy lad here.  Got the early odds as well

Just need Sweet Deal to salute to get the double ... fingers crossed

And I included The Harrovian ... Niccanova a big show as well

Sweet deal just had no go, was in a great spot but had no extra gear.

I had Brooklyn Hustle as a saver ... the horse seems to have arrived as a proper horse after disappointing for a stretch

My other choice was Odeum, I like that horse but either way, I would have chosen a loser ?

Yeah it's a tough game at the best of times Gorg.  Still, you've got to be in it to win it

Speaking of which,  for the horse racing enthusiasts out there,  Royal Ascot kicks off with 5 days of G1, G2 & Stakes racing starting on Tuesday night (all 5 days to be shown on the racing channel from about 10.30pm)

www.racingpost.com has all the form, odds & tips.  Haven't perused yet but there is sure to be some sort of Aussie representation

Yeah it looked it but the winner came past like a rocket

Had a lean week at Ascot until last night ... managed to land a 2/3 parlay with Point Lonsdale,  Wonderful Tonight & Dream of Dreams.  The treble (especially) paid very well

Will post up all the Ascot G1 replays soon enough ... this thread acts in historical fashion if people want to scroll through (or back) for replays of most of the G1 races

But sitting up until 2am - 3am has taken its toll!  Tired as!

Tatts tiara looks like it’s going to be a cracking race.

Just had a look at the field on racenet ... any number of chances!

One for the exotics

Yeah, I’ve been a fan of Odeum for a while, Brooklyn just got it last start. Add in Tofane and Savjust for starters… can’t wait!

Yep those 4 would go into my F4 ... thinking of boxing 6 and taking a small percentage.  Apart from Brooklyn, the other 3 you mentioned have excellent Group racing form

Nudge & Charleise have both been running well lately but for value and previous G1 & G2 form,  Lyre & Dame Gizelle could be thereabouts.  There's always a roughie

I have narrowed it down to 10!!

Each-Way Saturday - Flemington

R7 No.9 Lunar Flare $12/$3.20

Will end up doing a parlay 2/3 with Lunar at the place (3.20) as one of the 3 legs

Yeah always a roughie there abouts. Nudge is def in the mix and Lyre could easily place.

Yeah those 2 can be the add-ons Gorg

So I'll be cheering on Lyre!

All the picks are renowned strong finishers so it could easily be a blanket finish

Can't say I like any of the other races at Eagle Farm apart from the last (race 9)

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
