Why ? are you the only one who watches the games?  I don't need your stats mate. You are are just having a bad week criticising.

I have noticed your postings.  Worse luck.

Couple of things here:

1) Stats are important if you want to analyse the game and its players correctly. Your point is centred around the fact he's coming up to his 6th season. In his 5 so far, he's played 44 games. That's an average of 8.8 games of footy a season, or less than 2 full seasons worth of footy.

2) My week is going just fine thanks.

If 2020 was a full 22 game season, the following players would have kicks 40+ goals:

Hawkins, Kennedy, Gunston, Dixon.

So you're saying that it's unacceptable if Weid isn't in the top 4 goalkickers in the league next year? Even though he'll be playing as a second tall with Brown?

If you look at the second forward for each of the teams those players played on, only Darling was more productive than Weideman. So you're thinking Weid's production will increase when Brown comes into the team, and so much so that he will be one of the top 4 most productive key forwards, even though he will be playing as the second tall option?

And anything less than that is 'not acceptable' ...... ?

If 2020 was a full 22 game season and he played every game, Weid would have kicked approximately 33 goals.

So yes, 40+ goals in 2021 must happen.

It's most certainly still deliberating but he gets a resounding credit in the bank for picking Oliver in that same draft.

At the moment JT overpaid but in fairness Weid isn't yet in his mid-late 20's  which is the prime years of an AFL player. We can make the final judgement in a few years.

Absolute rubbish. Since when is KPF in their "prime" at 23 years old?

As I recall, Hawkins was in year 6 or 7, in a regular finals team with a dominant midfield, before he “took off”.

(Please correct me if I am wrong).

Yep that sounds about right.

In the 5th season of Tom's career (2011), he had played a total of 80 AFL games in consistently good team. In that same year, he kicked 27 goals @ an average of 1.5 goals per game.

Sam has played 44 games in a poor team over the same period. This year, Sam kicked 19 goals @ an average of 1.46 goals per game.

But hey, let's not let reason get in the way of a good ol' player bashing on DL.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
