didn't the trapper rack up 40+ possessions in the kreuzer cup?

Only kicked 1 goal though

Correct. I believe he also had 35 and 4 in that epic semi against Adelaide in 2002.

25 and 4

25 and 4

You're right. But in another 13 years I'll be telling people he had 45 and 8.

A good interview with Bernie: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-04-22/Match+analysis:+The+return+of+Bern

But this part really warms a Dee supporter's heart:

“I was just having a bit of fun. I was testing a few blokes out and a few of my old mates – and that’s what footy’s about. I don’t think I’m too popular over here now,” he told Dee TV with his renowned cheeky smile.

“I’ll live with that – I don’t care. I was just having a bit of fun – and that’s what we play footy for. It doesn’t worry me at all. I’m a Melbourne player now.

“If that means Adelaide people not liking me – that’s what it means, but I’m still mates with all of the Adelaide boys.

“I’ll do anything I can for the Melbourne footy club to win.”

Love Bernie

Given your moniker which is one of the best on Demonland, I am not sure if this real love or fictional love. As well as his good looks, Bernie does have long legs and when he lets fly from 50m out with one of those trademark long bombs I do get a tingle up my spine just like when I see a beautiful girl half my age walk down the street in front of me. A bit hard to find here but definitely found on the boulevards of paris and rome.

Yes, I have been rather unfaithful Ernest!

Lucifer's Hero came from a play on words for my adoration of my hero the great Jimmy Stynes.

But the young Demon guys have won me over.

And yes, I have cast a roving eye over those gorgeous latin lads in Paris and Rome during my travels.

As, my good-looking faves are Bernie and Dom and I am more than old enough to be their mother, it must remain fictional love.

As an aside I some times go to the footy with a gay male friend and it is quite funny that we are admiring the same things about footballers...I dread to think what conversation that comment will spark if BBO and his mates see it. Ah, well a bit more fun on DL won't hurt!!

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
