Scarves binned - not a good look

Here's an exercise for anyone being critical of this action to try. Call up the Salvation Army and St Vincent's, tell them you have hundreds of the same scarf to donate, would you like to take them? See what their answer is.

Thanks DL, the shed bar is almost complete! I figured if I didn't paint it before the season another year would pass me by as I would get the shlts on again.

You would think it would be easy enough to get a paint code, ended up mixing my own up. What makes it harder was that it is a two pack automotive paint, and I went a bit silly on the clear over and polish.

My niece goes to a primary school in Richmond. Someone brought in several boxes of Melbourne 2014 scarves and gave them away to the kids (not sure what day - some time in the last week I think). She was stoked!

Good result One Day. Kid's allegiances are often set early by gestures such as this.

At least you know it will last forever!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
