This kid is everything I want.

Fast paced medium size rebounding defender, as aggressive as they can be (is being compared to Byron Pickett), and can play any position you ask.

He is a 19 year old Hertier Lumumba, and is thought to be around the pick 15-30 mark.

If we trade pick 22 for Lumumba and this kid is still around, I will be absolutely devastated.

You had me until you mentioned Fatboy Pickett. Lumumba will be to Roos what Pickett was to Daniher.

Whatever you say buddy.

He will be playing for your team next year. In the red and the blue, and you can sit there bitter and grumbling if you want to - it won't change a damn thing.

If we don't use the pick we get for Mitch Clarke on Lumumba then we would be pretty foolish. Hopefully we can get both [as you wish] however there is every chance that Smith might go at 21 and then we would look mighty foolish. I would rather see us getting Lumumba and missing Smith as the 'worst case scenario' than not getting either, which might happen if we pass on Lumumba [who has nominated us as his preferred club]. 4th in Collingood's B&F is not a bad addition to our back six and Lumumba might well cover Chip.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
