GAME DAY - ROUND 1

Pages 13,11 and 9 (i didnt bother looking back any further as that was already every second page) you have had a cheap shot at someone else who had voiced opinions you didnt agree with. You have form, and it is consistent.

Grow up.

What is so disproportionate with the below?

The only criticism I would have of hartack is engaging with all that nonsense.

Wooden spoon for us

I'm done heartless bunch I'm handing my membership back Tommorow Roos or no Roos pathetic football club do us all a favor and fold

wattsup just seems to be another "heartless" supporter.

Might aswell pay Roos out and fold pathetic outplayed out coached

So glad I said I will wait until round 2 to renew my membership this year. Best decision ever. Matthew Richardson said both supporters will be happy with the effort their teams have put in tonight. I for one am not. I would be happy with a good effort against a top 8 team, not a bottom 4 team with crippling injuries. PATHETIC

Well, we certainly don't need fairweather supporters... so feel free to follow another club.

Have been a member for over 10 years now and only in my twenties. Hardly a fairweather supporter. But enoughs enough. Only so much people can take and this is my limit. Too many passengers in this team and it's not good enough.

And pray tell, how does withdrawing your membership help? You give the new administration and coaching group one game and that's it? Particularly when we still have a few of our major players to come back in. To use your own word "pathetic".

Those are your idea of a cheapshot?? Ding, you need to grow a much thicker skin... what I do find funny though is the fact that you accuse me of cheapshots, yet in the 6 years you have been on D'land, you have a relative handful of posts, and if the last few posts are anything to go by, you only come on to here to take potshots because you are upset over a result. Again, quite ironic is it not?

A fair criticism.

Yeah, and Bennell has been having a reasonable game which I'm happy to see... always liked Jamie, even if he never did cut it in the games he played with us.

Graeme i have been reading this twits posts for years. He is a cheap sniper who spends most of his time slagging off at anyone who has an opinion different to his. He is a first class clown.

And you are being a suckhole.

Disagree emphatically , will leave it at that.

Thanks for the kind words Smithy.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
