Nic Nat

I reckon he is overrated, would much rather see us pick up mundy for a couple of years, Goldstein is a free agent this year but we'd have to pay overs to get him

Me too,. And I reckon not many are in that camp.

His highlight reel is great but he doesn't do it anywhere near often enough,

Pass

An infrequent one at that.

He was injury ravaged last year. Have a look at his 2012 where he also shared duties with Cox and his 2011 wasnt bad either.

Injuries aside the hype around Natainui isn't relative to his output. He's capable of some freakish things but my point was regards his general consistency.

I listened to Simmo on ABC Perth yesterday and he's not even sold on Natainui yet. He reckons as an opposition coach you never really took much notice of specific players until you were actually playing them (referring to his days at the Hawks). Seems he's not been sucked into all of the hype surrounding him. Wonder what he thinks of the $5M on offer..

With Nic-Nat coming out of contract do we give ourselves any chance of putting up an offer that could tempt him? I'm sure Frawley would be looked at by West Coast as a perfect replacement for Glass next year.

I think we need to tie in Frawls...

Nik Nat could go to GWS, a great fit for them in their varied cultures. & maybe WC_Eagles need a tall Power Forward like Patton? or god forbid, Clark?

As people have mentioned, overrated, very overrated. I'd much rather us look at getting Fyfe for 800k per year. Gawn will step up and so will the other Max, King, we'll be right with our rucks.

I think he's about to come of age.

this year should see him take the No 1 ruck, & his footy will grow from there.

It's easy to say an opposition player is over-rated, and in this case it's even easier than usual.

Possibly THE most over-rated player in the comp...EVER.

Unless you count Craig Starcevic.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
