Interested to see if anybody picked up a D2D volunteer card outside the G (on Sunday).

Any feed back appreciated.

We handed out 2200 in the hope of finding another 25+ volunteers for next year.

See D2D.net.au for details.

Yeah, I got one.

I got an anti abortion flyer outside Richmond station. Alas, the protestors weren't particularly outraged at the abortion taking place on the MCG turf.

Yep it is. We made 9000 calls from volunteers to membership targets earlier this year.

We want to grow & get close to doubling that in 2014.

I was wandering around the gate 3 area for quite a while on Sunday (Had to go the office) and no one approached me. Odd!

Going by your photo, you aren't a very approachable person BBO.

Perhaps not but I have an endearing personality.

Im sure you do have BBO, we have all personality types in our group. However, we share one thing in common a passion to see the Demons rise back up the ladder. We as supporters can and are making a difference.

Do you have a volunteering personality? Are you interested in making a difference? Offerring a few hours of your time?

If nothing else please like us on facebook and share the information with your fellow Demons. Join our mailing list. You never know what might interest you.

We care little about the colour of your make-up, we only care about your desire to take action and make a difference. Join our tribe all are welcome.

Your welcome. Hope to see you onboard soon.

Yes Adam. D2D are trying to plan some major events for season 2014. D2D is trying to communicate with as many MFC supporters as possible and keep them in the loop.

Many cant volunteer their time, we understand that. However, by the simple action of hitting the like button on facebook, you are assisting us. Your assisting your club improve one of its major revenue streams in membership. If we are to become competitive onfield we must first be competitive off-field.

Please take a few minutes and visit our website & facebook pages. Help us to help our footy club.

Here are the links again D2D Website & D2D Facebookpage

Can we attack other tribes and take their money and mid fields?

Can we attack other tribes and take their money and mid fields?

Well is that not the 20 million dollar question?

It will depend on how we as supporters can build a postive enviroment where our players can develop to reach their maximum potentilal. Where we can attract players from other clubs to a 100% supportive culture in building a workplace they can thrive in.

Can we attack their "money"? Yes, if we create a postive club where sponsors want to invest. That starts with a change of attitude then we need the onfield success to sustain a long-term relationship.

We have many challeges infront of us. However, the path is well worn. D2D as supporters gives you an opportunity to put your words into actions.

If it is to be its up to me.

Never give up

Fire Up - I can 100% promise to you that we have many, many committed individuals inside our group prepared to fight till their last breath for this club. However, our fight will be in a positive, constructive supportive manner.

From our website - "D2D stands for Demon2Demon, or supporter to supporter. It is an initiative started by a section of our volunteers group to encourage connection between supporters, members, volunteers and the club."

D2D will give its all, to leave no stone unturned to give everyone of our boys on the field and our whole football club all the support it can. D2D will give its all, to work very closely with our membership services team and rebuild our once great supporter base and convert them into fully paid up members.

Hope we can see more from around here willing to volunteer to join the fight. If D2D is not your cup of tea thats fine - there are many other brilliant volunteering opportunities.

We as supporters can and are making a difference. Join the fight. Help build our Demon tribe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
