DUDE you must be high! Perfectly fine handball. All I can say is Bruce shits me to tears.

No he's right. Look up the AFL rules on the definition of a handball I don't know the exact rules but the hand the ball is held in can't be moving when it's hit by the fist. If you look at the footage his left hand is clearly moving and aids the trajectory of the ball to go back towards Franklin.

Now these days the rule is pretty much hit it with a fist and its a handball, but that's not technically correct.

I'm happy for ones like these to slide but I think the umps should tighten up on a lot of them. I'm usually in favour of letting soft free kicks go but there is way too much throwing in our game.

The commentary in that long vid from Bruce gives it away as well "the little GIVE was a good one".

What about the 'handballs' backwards and over the head. They are very suspect.

Nothing in rules about the holding hand being stationary. In fact i would believe it rarely is

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
