Less said the better re on field, but the intention is to proceed Mon/Tuesday - tough as that will be.

The longevity of this program is the important factor & this appears to be a defining moment.

So, I will be there both nights & would appreciate your Yes/No to assist planning.

Appreciate if we can leave out the 'barb replies' here & a BUMP would assist to keep us up the top.

A great time for a freshy to come off the bench.

Await u replies.

See top thread "want to help ........".

We are a group of volunteers who go into the clubs offices 5.30pm - 8pm Mondays & Tuesdays.

We call last years members & get them renewed. Demon to demon friendly calls & [ignoring the current gloom] its a positive environment.

If you can help it would be much appreciated.

Interesting decision by the club to utlise the Origin Energy partnership.

A phoning campaign will start next week encouraging Demon supporters, but non-members, to sign with Origin & get a free membership.

Not an easy task in the current circumstances, but gives the club a shot at additional membership figures.

Great to see the club stepping up & utlising all resources.

It's quite easy, anybody that loves the Club, turn up tonight at 5:30pm at the offices at the G and ring around getting other members on board, show that the Club means something, I have been totally devastated since Saturday although it is only footy and I just want the players to start showing something, but I don't want to take it out on the Club staff who have been working their arses off to get this Club going forward

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
