stuie 7,374 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Ok, I've got the wrists bandaged and starting to think constructively... Who can we get down to the club this week and in the coming weeks to talk to, train, instruct the players and/or coaches? From what I've heard today, my votes would be for The Ox and The Duck. Ox was shattered today, and seems to relate to some of the senior guys and understand what they're doing right/wrong. Made some points on Jamar and Frawley that were spot on. I know he gave a speech recently, but would love to get him down to the club more regularly as someone who can inspire and create passion for the club as clearly Neeld fails on that front. Duck gave us an old fashioned spray, but also gave us some old school ideas about how to go about the week coming. Not only does he understand about real footy toughness, but he is a guy that gets respect from his presence not from his words (unlike Neeld). They're my thoughts on "consultants" we could get in, what do you guys think? Who else that is available would be helpful?

Bonkers 994 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Ron Barassi(might be too old) Dermot Brereton? Leigh Matthews?
jumbo returns 6,745 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hmmm... I think Carey is a damaged brand and may not really command the respect that he thinks he has. He does make some outlandish comments on the wireless and has written quite a few sensationalist articles on Franklin going to GWS and the Pies 'should've' let Cloke walk. The latter is so wrong, it's not funny as Cloke monstored North today and Franklin won't leave. Having said that, someone like Ling? or Lloyd? or Cam Mooney? Guys that are not long retired and still have a link with the modern game? stuie, what about wholesale changes and getting rid of peahearts and duds? Blokes you mentioned in another thread?

I'm up for anything and everything! Changes, outside "coaches"... any type of alternative that may turn us around. It's desperate times.
