New home for Ricky?

What I want to see is consistency of performance from individual players - the gap and distance between best games and worst games narrowed. Herein lies our problem - I saw a few quite exceptional Ricky P games - a few being "count them on one hand". The same could be said for plethora of footballers we have had and a few we still have.

What we need is a few more Nathan Jones'. I disagree with so many on here when they point to him being close to the next step to becoming elite. I dont believe he has the natural talent to become elite. But what I love about him is over the last two years the gap between his best and worst has all but disappeared. He consistently plays the best he can play and he should be lauded because of it. Consistency and quality of performance - week in and week out. Give his best and does his best consistently - when we can get a dozen footballers plus who can make that claim then we will see wins.

Couldn't agree more Nut.

Although it hurts big time to realise that because of that lack of consistency, we are still along way off the mark. I know we recruited to get that more experienced consistent player. I just hope we see something from it this year.

Please explain why you'd be reading anything from the Richmond website? That should be grounds for a life ban from Demonland. Mods, where are you?

Haha, sorry to disappoint Crawf52! I can only hope the mods will spare me.

Maybe this one will more to your liking.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
