We've just recruited Jack Viney to the club but he isn't the only son of a gun going around.

Billy Stretch, son of former Melbourne player Steven Stretch and is determined to follow his fathers footsteps and play AFL football, targeting the dees as his prime location. He is a talented footballer and would be a great pick up for the Dees.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge both since then, and more to flow before he gets drafted. Seem to recall recently he was named BOG in a final (or grand final?) for Glenelg u16s.

Just another article on him, not alot about his playing. Although he plays under 16s for south australia.

I remember Steven Stretch very well. He was skilful and solid player. Also won a B & F if memory serves me.

Great picture of Billy although he looks about 9! However for those who can picture Steven in their mind - I'm not saying anything but I hope the AFL don't require DNA for father/sons.
