Leigh Williams vs Lucas Cook

Featured Replies

Nick Smith has more potential than both combined, every time I watch the scorps he is clunking them. If you could develop his set shot he could be a beauty

I presume you are not referring to 426. Tell me more.

Good info. Thanks Satyricon. Knew some of that but not that Williams is good at the 1% stuff or that he is working on his body size. Sounds promising. Would be fantastic to pull a good player from relative obscurity, especially since we have not done as well as hoped with high draft picks of late.

It would be a far bigger 'story' than the jPod.

Williams is 2 full years older than Cook that explains why he is a bit more developed physically.

I reslly hope the coaching panel give an explanation of why cook was delisted.

yep, mighty luke williams, 51 spectacular games and 10 fabulous goals.

If you play for the dees you probably don't want to see the wiki entry say "He spent most of his career with Melbourne playing in the Demons' reserve side, the Sandringham Zebras, in the Victorian Football League."

Williams was extremely sick early in season while recovering from a shocking back injury. Do your homework Lobster!

You do realise that this refers to Luke Williams, not Leigh Williams.....

Would easily take Jai Sheahan over either of them.

Has definitely shown a bit this year with dash from the backline. Seems to be able to play on both talks and smalls.

leigh williams was still put in an induced coma for several days while battling a brain infection/virus

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
