A call out to demondeb or other supporters in Brisbane

My daughter now lives in Brisbane and doesnt know anyone who wants to go to the footy.

I'm not sure whether you can give out mobile numbers on forums like this but she would either like to call someone or have them call her to meet up at the Gabba?

Any help would be appreciated

Tell her to enter at gate 9 (Stanley Street) which is where all the MFC members/supporters who get their tickets from the club will be. Several hundred fellow Demons will be in that vicinty and she will be with friends.

If she would like to ring - I will give her Debbie's mobile number.

Smithy. Might be better off to use the direct message function on the board than put your digits on a public forum.

Thanks BM, I intended to edit after giving FP time to read post.

my daughter Cassie will be calling you now if that is ok

Cassie has been in touch and my son will arrange a free ticket for her and she will be amongst many Demons.

Cheers Rob.

Good stuff, now isn't that what a "club" is about?

I love it, seeing some Old ways are still alive, where people care & show they have time to help.

This IS what a club should be like.

spot on dee-luded, gsmith has is that beacon of light, i'm thrilled my daughter will be safe with dees fans today

You are very welcome.. I told Cas to get me her email address and we can join her up with the Queensland Demons.

We dont have a lot of social functions due to the people up here really just wanting to go the the games but we do have a great Xmas lunch which she can come along to.

She was a top girl - very nice and glad we could help.

Thats what the Queensland Demons was formed for- to bring supporters in our vast state together.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
