Where's the Flag Year ?

Or do think even this lot will end up could've beens ?

Encouraged by Aaron daveys game, a team high seven tackle shows a willingness to work back from injury with the hard work that got him listed all those years ago.

Dr Who, you are really a blind moron if you think we are going well. When my posted details are PROVEN to be astray then it might be worth you picking other people to bits ya muppet.

In 2012 we will battle to stay out of the bottom 4. We have a weak minded player culture that has yet to be addressed. But you stay positive Tulip.......................for the next 10 years. I dont pull punches, I tell it how it is. You go back to beddy byes and have your sweet little pink coloured dreams while I deal in reality.

At the moment our list is patheticly weak , just like quite a few on this forum!

I dont give a flying flick whether you like my posts or not, but yours are predictably blind! Grow some goolies boy!

The problem as I see it is we are neither here nor there; we don't have a team of potential stars like say Gold Coast and we don't have a team of seasoned performers like Hawthorn.

We lack good quality, hard bodied, senior players and only have the likes of Moloney and Sylvia as our on field teachers, as we all know they are sadly lacking when the pressure is applied. Our Junior brigade have a bit of potential, and so they should after the years we've spent trying to recruit them, but potential is one thing and at this stage they haven't shown anything to me that indicates they will turn out to be top line players.

I'm not going to give up the year as yet but they need to show a hell of a lot more than they did on Saturday night to convince me we are on the right track.

They didn't.

We have been out possessed in the last two games by a staggering 269 possessions, that shows we just can't get our hands on the ball and if by chance we do we turn it over. We play a defensive game that doesn't hold up so in essence we don't attack and we can't defend, wow!

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
