Good Times Grimes 2,396 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Thank you for saving and rebuilding the Melbourne Football Club, Jimmy. You have put us on the right track, and done everything you possibly can to ensure we will go forward in the most successful way possible. Keep fighting, if anyone can beat this it's you. You will forever be a MFC legend.
rpfc 29,044 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 He's a hero in my eyes. Yes, he has made mistakes. But the best ones do. Thanks and you will be remembered fondly long after you leave us, and, in the end, isn't that a great mark of a human being?
Deeoldfart 8,205 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 The Melbourne Football Club family will forever be indebted to Jimmy Stynes. Now is your time Jimma ..... whatever ot takes.
Akum 2,660 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 All of us on here have different ideas, and at times it can get heated and sometimes quite nasty. But we are ALL UNITED when the words Jim Stynes are spoken. Jim is the one footy person who's respected, admired and loved by everybody associated with the game, and probably by many who have nothing to do with AFL. This is a remarkable thing, I can't think of anybody else of whom this could be said. And he's thoroughly earned every microgram of that respect, admiration & love by his quality as a person, an athlete, and a leader. Hate to think where we'd be now if it wasn't for Jim and his leadership.
Guest Gotzy15 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Thanks for everything Big Jimma. You came on board when we needed you most and you've led and inspired us through some very dark days as a club. You leave the club in a great position to now move forward and all players, supporters and officials are forever indebted to you. All the best, look after yourself and I hope we can deliver you that premiership you so greatly deserve! Thanks champ
Kento80 83 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Wow, go out of phone service for a night and come back to this. I feel absolutely gutted, but that is about me, and in the end I am happy for Jim, hopeful for Jim, grateful to Jim..... in awe of Jim. Thank you eternally for the selfless contribution you gave to our club. All my thoughts and prayers are with you Sam and your family, and I hope that against all the odds you beat this god-forsaken disease. Thank you Jim.
