2011 Player Review - # 30 Tom McNamara ®

Time's up Tommy.

He's been given enough time to prove he's out of his depth at AFL level.

Many don't get as much time as he did.

Tom showed a bit of early promise in his first couple of seasons, but hasn't managed to consolidate in his four years at the Club. He failed to make any headway after being demoted to the Rookie List in 2011, and his days on our list appear numbered.

Unfortunately, unless MN has discovered something heretofore totally hidden and occult about a new 'role' in their secret one on one, I think Tommy will be given his marching orders.

Pity, seems a nice kid and those who know him say similar things, but niceness doesn't win flags.

Looked good in a handful of games in his first season, then really didn't get a look in for the next two years, for whatever reason.

The draft in which he was selected has turned into something of a disaster with McNamara (an Under 18 AA), Cheney and Maric all gone leaving only the injury prone Grimes and an out of form Morton.
