Guess the crowd this week

Being an MCC member, I object to having to pay extra to attend that shambles of a stadium.

And i object to you being a Melbourne supporter, doesn't mean i can change it

Mate of mine used the same argument, he's also a club member, pointed out to him it wouldn't cost him a thing, he's now "thinking about" going.

Not sure if my MFC/MCC membership will get me in (it probably will), but I'm still loathe to go.

you're a [censored].

Can't believe the amount of excuse from people who post here regularly saying things like.

"i refuse to go there"

"i hate that ground, will never go back."

It's only 2 stations from Richmond you wannabe supporters. The funniest part about it is that the people that are saying they won't go to that ground, are the ones that are on here complaining the most about this and that, "we'll never be anything" "watch scully's 4th last game as a dee". You honestly make me sick. Why would you even bother saying you support the team if you don't actually... support the freaking team. Some say that of recent events this is the darkest time melbourne has had for a long time, well i can remember one, going to watch the boys play only 2-3 years ago to win 4 games in each year. Now we actually have a chance to make the finals and you don't want to go to the game because "it's too far?" "pies are too expensive?"

Sack up, support the boys in their time of need.

And if i get those morons who say, "they should play well then i'll go" my reply would be GTFO

GET TO ETIHAD YOU IDIOTS

And the post of the year is awarded to DEELERIUM. Well said mate.

right-on, the ONE advantage we have is home crowd, that is, if YOU go

if you want the boys to have the BEST chance then ALL supporters should turn up no matter what

you're a [censored].

I know i can't personally attack people on here because i'll get blocked or banned, but i have to say Enforcer25 or E25 or Artie bucco or whatever the hell your name is, if i was a moderator and i had the power to ban someone because of their negativity, and incessant arguments about nothing, you and Range Rover would be at the top of my list

Good for you.

Just responding in kind.

You can now go on about your business and ignore me if you choose.

It's not useful to perpetuate the notion that MCC members will not travel to Etihad.

Yes, they attend the MCG every week. Why wouldn't they? Yes they look out and see an empty outer. Why wouldn't they?

They obtained their MCC membership after a 20 year nomination. They must continue to pay a premium to maintain their MCC membership. It's easy to see dissatisfaction from them as to why the pathetic masses don't attend games at the G. Perhaps the smokers stand contains the only real MFC supporters who are left.

I think, as a MFC member who lives in the bush, I'd rather attend games at Etihad. When I attend with a pathetically small crowd, I'll probably blame the MCC members who went to the snow. It's easy.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
