Broadcast Rights 2012-2016

They did mention they adding additional channels to be able to run the required matches live.

I'm just glad I don't have to watch channel 7 for footy anymore from 2012.......they suck in my book!

Unfortunately, you will still be stuck with the Channel 7 coverage/Ten if they sell a few of the games.

The games that channel 7 has will be simulcast on Fox Sports AFL i.e. you'll get exactly the same coverage, simply on a different channel.

107 or 50*, it'll all be the same for those matches..

Only if you pay for it with Foxtel.

Its been a slow creep over the years and Foxtel are slowly but surely putting a strangle hold on free to air football. Sad but inevitable.

I dont have Foxtel at home and I am not intending to have it installed. I will have to go to the pub more and get mates to tape games for me.

You'll still have four games on FTA TV, and now Fri night will always be live.

Has it ever been better for FTA?

My biggest concern is if 7 do, indeed, show the four free to air games. What a shame that would be.

Indeed :P

Is it only me, or are others sad if Huddo doesn't get a gig on 7 or Foxtel. If he goes to Foxtel I'll sign up with them. He's the best caller by far IMO

I hope you get a gig Huddo.

I'd say bring on Foxtel...but considering I'm still in high school I don't really get a say. Damn.
