Two suggested items not may have already been covered...

lots of ice for inevitable injuries

strapping tape for ankles

current player confirmations still (still!!) come mostly from demonology... :o

this has never happened before... :)

pick up your game, demonlanders... (no, I mean it, pick up your game or I will transfer this thread to demonology)...

soon the player posts from the justfooty site will exceed those on here...

here is the updated list from here and demonology (or should I say from demonology and here ??)...

"Two suggested items not may have already been covered...

hey, pb...

there will be ice for the beer, but it is not to be wasted on injuries... :)

there will be the odd bandaid for the odd ankle, but you should bring your own strapping tape... B)

only two of our players have ever suffered injuries in these games...

jimi9 from demonland and rivvo from demonology...

they were accidents because both players were trying too hard...

not a bad record...

it's a social game, and all of the guys who have played can assure you that nobody gets ironed out, we all have to turn up to work the next day...

on the other hand, demonland has never had to face up to demonology before...

could be blood on the grass... ;)

OK, it's official...

the bluebaggers want to wear their CFC jumpers, so demonology will have to play with their MFC jumpers turned inside-out...

not such a great sacrifice to play on the winning team... :)

should be a great game but demonland, I fear, are going down... B)

Why do our jumpers have to be inside out?

"Why do our jumpers have to be inside out?"

hey, happening...

as far as I know, you are not a member on demonology...

so I assume you will be playing for demonland...

because talkingcarlton are way down on numbers, the game will be demonology/talkingcarlton versus demonland...

the demonland guys (including you) will be wearing the MFC strip, but the talkingcarlton guys will be wearing the CFC strip and the guys from demonology playing with them will need to wear their MFC jumpers inside-out to avoid confusion...

clear as mud ??

Good onya mate thanks for clearing that up for me.

yes, we have no bananas... :)

talkingcarlton are way down on numbers, so the game is shaping as a contest between demonology/talkingcarlton and demonland...

talkingcarlton will be wearing the CFC strip, the demonology boys will need to wear their MFC tops inside out, and demonland gets to wear the colours...

hey, pb...

we want everyone to turn up at about 10am...

here is a message I will be sending out soon to everyone involved:

"Reminder we are playing this coming Sunday, February 20 at 10.30 am at Gosch’s Paddock.

Melway map reference 2G E10.

TRAIN to Richmond station, walk south down Punt Road (city side). If you come to Boulton Parade, you have gone too far.

CAR. Free parking may be available at the Punt Road Oval. If not, you can try the Richmond side streets south of Swan Street, but I prefer the commercial car parks in Swan Street. There is one east of the intersection with Punt Road and one west of that intersection.

WEATHER. Extended forecast says 22 degrees, numerous showers, mostly cloudy, cool. Maximum temperature 22 degrees. The operative word is “showers”, so footy boots are a must.

People, its Melbourne so bring WATER and SUNSCREEN!!!

Helpers, we have never had enough additional water, so please do not slack off on your commitments.

Everyone, please bring additional jumpers (if you have them) for players without.

Wolfmother is going to a lot of trouble to organise an after-match barbeque and we are trying to raise funds for the Flood Relief effort.

We are asking everyone to donate $20.00 (or whatever they can afford) to the Flood Relief effort.

See you Sunday at 10.00 am or thereabouts.

Players and helpers who have not committed, or who are late apologies, please update your status by posting on the thread on Demonland, by sending me a pm, or by texting me on 0408 698 328."

no age limit, DR, but this will be a game where the players are mostly young, fit and know how to play...

will enjoy a beer with you on sunday...

and, by the way, HAVE I MENTIONED TO PEOPLE THAT THE JOB OF UMPIRES' ASSISTANT IS STILL OPEN ??
